A glossy ibis, a national first-class protected wild animal, was recently seen in the wetlands of Qugboxung Town, Samdrupz District, Xigaze City, Xizang Autonomous Region. Under sunlight, the bird’s feathers shimmered with metallic hues of purple, green, and bronze, brilliant as a flowing rainbow, earning it the nickname “rainbow divine bird.” The ibis’s appearance in Xigaze serves as powerful evidence of the effectiveness of local wetland protection and ecological management.
